Perithecia up to 0.5 mm in diameter, globose, with beak, yellowish
coriaceous, immersed to partially protruding. Asci 8-spored, clavate,
unitunicate, 76-100 X 22-32 p. Ascospores 2-celled, hyaline, 24-29 X
8-10 p, with terminal often irregular appendages (Fig. 9m).
Not uncommon in wood on the upper beach and on recently deposited
driftwood.
Substrate.
A bies, Picea and Pinus.

Perithecia 0.3 mm in diameter, globose with beak, dark, immersed
to later partially protruding. Asci 8-spored, clavate, unitunicate,
96-112 X 24-36 p. Ascospores 2-celled, thick-walled, hyaline, 25-30 X
15-17 p, with terminal appendages (Fig.9n).
Not uncommon on wood at base of dunes, in gullies and in wood
recently deposited.

Abies, Picea, Pinus and other conifers.

leathery yellow in colour, immersed to later free. Asci 8-spored, clavate,
unitunicate, 76-80 X 22-28 p. Ascospores 2-celled, hyaline, 26-30
X 9-11 p, generally with 6-rayed, star-formed terminal appendages
(Fig. 90).
