Pe rithecia up t o 0.5 mm in diameter, globose with short, pointed<br />

papilla, black, sessile. Asci not observed . Ascospores multiseptate<br />

(chiefly 37-celled) , hyaline, filiform, terminally swollen, 300-375 X<br />

5-6 p (Fig. 9h).<br />

Ra re , only one collection from wood at the base of the dune.<br />

Perithecia about 0.3 mm in diameter, globose, with beak, dark,<br />

sessile. Asci 8-spored, clavate, unitunicate, 92-120 X 14-18 p. Asco ­<br />

spores one-celled, filiform, hyaline, curved, 90-120 X 4-5 p , with<br />

conical terminal appendages bearing slime droplet, appendage 8-10 p<br />

(Fig.9i).<br />

Only one collection from wood collected at water's edge and stored<br />

in a humid chamber .<br />
