Inspector's Report.<br />

February, 1901.<br />

During this month our inspectors made 10.308 inspection trips, visited 19,479<br />

boilers, inspected 5,672 both internally and externally, and subjected 730 to hydrostatic<br />

pressure. <strong>The</strong> whole number of defects reported reached 11,523, of which 764 were<br />

considered dangerous ; 57 boilers were regarded unsafe for further use. Our usual<br />
