Instead of seven months, you may use seven years, seven weeks, or seven days. Once you
select a time frame, you can interpret four card positions for each of the seven Stages, one
in each of the four Planes.
7. Chakras
Application of the characteristics of the chakras to the seven Stages adds rich meaning
to the positions, especially regarding health. Chart 3 shows the correlation of the chakras
across the seven Stages.
8. Senses
Application of the characteristics of the senses to the seven Stages adds to the spread
positions the capability of analyzing questions about the operation and efficiency of the
senses themselves, and adds to the sensory source and content of important information.
For example, it may be significant to pay special attention to what you will be eating; or to
what you hear or say; or to periods of meditation.
9. Color / Sound
These aspects affect the four positions in each of the seven Stages as shown in Chart
3B. While the effects of color and sound on the positions are fundamental and profound,
here the reader must study and meditate in order to get meaningful, useful, personal
information. Color and sound are at the roots of archetypal symbology and the ability to
communicate. Each reader must come to grips with this category personally. Color and
sound can be studied, but in the long run, they must be internalized through direct experience.
Assign colors to the positions and then let your intuition take over.
1OA. The Major Arcana Journey
Your path through the 22 cards generates significant meaning for the positions. In the
Karmic Tarot the major journey from 1 (Magician) to 22 (Fool) is actually seven minijourneys,
with way-stations at 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19.
1OB. The Journeys through the Planes
While your journey is seen primarily as a path through the Major Arcana that weaves
its way up and down through the planar effects of the Minor Arcana, additional insight for
the meaning of the positions is gained from looking at the horizontal journeys within the
level of the Planes themselves.
This generates four mini-journeys, at the levels of the Physical, Emotional, Mental,
and Spiritual Planes, which are as follows:
Physical: (1) Magician, (7) Chariot, (13) Death, (19) Sun
Emotional: (2) High Priestess, (6) Lovers, (8) Strength, (12) Hanged Man
(14) Temperance, (18) Moon, (20) Judgement
Mental: (3) Empress, (5) Hierophant, (9) Hermit, (11) Justice, (15) Devil
(17) Star, (21) World
Spiritual: (4) Emperor, (10) Wheel of Fortune, (16) Tower, (22) Fool
