UPRIGHT: To be in love with the archetype death in its purest form is simply to love, to welcome
change with an open heart. This is the stuff of bravery, or chivalry. INVERTED: To love or to
welcome death in its extremes of too much or too little leads to some of humanities most disturbing
potentialities. An over fascination and embrace of death leads, on the lighter side to a love of danger
with greater and greater risk to life, such as practiced by the dare-devil, and on the darker side to
things like necrophilia, murder, and suicide. To welcome death too little is to fear death and leads
to weakness, cowardice, and in the extreme a fear of the least little thing, and eventually life itself.

UPRIGHT: You have been in harmony with life’s basic cycles, aligned with the seasons. There may
