health. New business ventures. New physical regimen, of diet and/or
exercise. Physical prowess and/or superiority. Material independence and selfsufficiency.
Ability to provide, to produce. Great physical potential: Physical.
material thesis. This can also show the opening and development of the First
Chakra (Root/Anal) and the handing of basic, debilitating fears. INVERTED:
Can suggest some difficulty getting a project started or finished on time, or to
satisfaction. Also, there may be a physical block at an elementary level. Too
much or too little of any of the above. Many examples of these appear in specific
positions detailed below.
Ace of Cups
UPRIGHT: Here are the beginnings of things emotional and creative. Also,
the ultimate and successful completion of emotional and/or creative matters to
the highest standards. Emotional fulfillment, perfection, blessings. Here is receptivity.
The opening of the heart chakra. Also can be the opening of the genital
or the solar plexus chakras. Here is fertility, as sexual/emotional potential,
applying to relationships and to creative projects. May be a proposal of love, or
of marriage, for here is the offering of oneself to another. It is also the offering of
oneself to the world through one’s talents and energies. Baptism and anointing.
As symbol of the Holy Grail, or the Holy Spirit, here is God’s message delivered
straight to the heart. God’s grace. Emotional, creative nourishment, a boost.

VERTED: Difficulties with beginnings or completions on the Emotional Plane. Blockages of the
heart, genital, or solar plexus chakras. But there may also be too much of an opening or a problem
with timing.

matters to the highest standards. New concepts, proposals. Intellectual fulfillment,
perfection, blessings. Awards for mental achievement. Clarity of
thought. Highly analytical. Rational. Self-assured. Origins of philosophies, systems
of belief, ethics, and morality, hence justice, law, and order. Excellent
communication, administration, and teaching/learning skills. The opening and
development of the Throat Chakra. This is the sword of Gabriel, the shaft of
light which illuminates the mind and aligns the seven chakras with words of
truth. This communication is visible, conscious, and delivered through external
means. Reliable mind, truth, useable information. INVERTED: There may be
too much or too little of the principles mentioned above. For example, too
much or too little knowledge, truth. Unabashed honesty at unnecessary moments on one extreme,
versus outright lies when truth is crucial. There may be difficulty with the early stages of
an idea or plan, or in formulating goals. Or there may be trouble with completion. The confusion
of too many ideas, or the indecision of too few. Mental talents, like everything else, must fit the
