like. Energetic about present plans. You are correct in your evaluation of your karmic purpose <strong>and</strong><br />
have chosen appropriate goals. INVERTED: At one extreme, you may be downbeat in your evaluation.<br />
At another extreme, you may be using your mental techniques to ill effect.<br />

no need to overdo it. Whether it’s too much exercise, or too much food, or too much work—slow<br />
down. At the other extreme, there may be too little energy. You can actually increase your energy by<br />
doing more of the right activities, a little at a time.<br />

UPRIGHT: Here comes the sun. This will test how your Emotional Plane h<strong>and</strong>les the good stuff.<br />
What will your heart do when everything goes right? Can you recognize <strong>and</strong> maximize good <strong>for</strong>tune?<br />
INVERTED: Same test, but with greater extremes. Here your relationships, or your creative<br />
affairs, must weather either outrageous good <strong>for</strong>tune beyond all expectations, or something much<br />
less than expected in your Physical Plane.<br />
15 GOVERNED BY THE DEVIL: TEMPTATION/CHALLENGE, FEARS<br />
UPRIGHT: Here the sun shines brightly on your mental affairs. If you are ahead of schedule, you<br />
will be put to the task of exp<strong>and</strong>ing your maximum expectations. INVERTED: Here can be a fear of<br />
too much light, too much exposure, too much success, a fear of happiness itself. What to do when all<br />
the enemies have been conquered, all the battles won? At the other extreme can be the easier to<br />
underst<strong>and</strong> fear of failure, of physical or material loss.<br />

seem as if by chance, but all is part of your karmic purpose unfolding <strong>and</strong> will bring its share of<br />
lessons to be learned. INVERTED: You will be instrumental in the good <strong>for</strong>tune of many others.<br />
17 GOVERNED BY THE STAR: APIRATIONS OF EGO, GOALS, MAXIMUM EXPECTATIONS<br />
UPRIGHT: Your goal is to be the absolute best you can be at a physical or material goal. You will<br />
pull out all the stops to succeed, but by honorable means, <strong>for</strong> the motivation here is to simply “be all<br />
that you can be,” just like the U.S. Army. INVERTED: At one extreme, the goal to win is distorted<br />
<strong>and</strong> seeks the defeat of others as much or more than victory. The goal is definitely one of superiority.<br />
At the other extreme, here is the hard to underst<strong>and</strong>, but un<strong>for</strong>tunately not rare, goal to lose.<br />
18 GOVERNED BY THE MOON: ASPIRATIONS OF HEART, COMPASSION<br />
UPRIGHT: The heart’s goal is <strong>for</strong> all the world to be enjoying abundance, a compassionate call <strong>for</strong><br />
a heaven on earth. This is the material aspect of the goal of the Bodhisattvas, who although they have<br />
reached enlightenment with completion of all karmic instruction, choose to return in further<br />
incarnations of service until all souls are enlightened. INVERTED: Here the heart’s aspiration is<br />
similar, but pessimistic, grieving that universal love is not yet achieved. At another extreme, here is<br />
concern <strong>for</strong> the health of Gala, Mother Earth, herself.<br />
19 GOVERNED BY THE SUN: PHYSICAL FULFILLMENT/EVALUATION<br />
UPRIGHT: The material goals have been achieved <strong>and</strong> things are exactly as you would have them.<br />
Everything around you is a proper extension of the self <strong>for</strong> fulfillment of your physical/material
