everybody. INVERTED: This is serious business to your mind, but it may took frivolous to
others. Part of your job is to make sure that you are not misunderstood, for this archetype is one
everyone must learn eventually.

UPRIGHT: This is the magic path of the unbounded yet faithful heart, which will successfully
balance the purity and power of personal romantic love and its extension into family with an equal
and complementary love for mankind and all creation. Power to heal through love and intensity of
involvement. Emotional focus/mastery create abundance of love and energy. INVERTED: The
phrase “common love” suggests the difficulties of this path—for in seeking what is common to all
of creation, temptations to and accusations of debasement may be all too “common.”

UPRIGHT: Very often, the lessons of jealousy, patience, envy, independence, and the like are on the
childhood plate of those born into an environment of this archetype, for here you are expected early
on to share the parents and other adults you love and depend on most. INVERTED: Here, the lack
of parental or family-type love and contact may have been extreme, and perhaps the reasons for
their absence were less than noble. Reliance on others or on yourself was your alternative, and your
training ground.

UPRIGHT: Anyone who marries this archetype has all of the lessons mentioned above in position
5 and then some. For here is a person who is compelled by the grace of God to help foster universal
love. This is the calling of John the Baptist, of Christ, and the mission of the Apostles. Even though
the Apostles were commissioned to teach theirs was nevertheless the path toward universality.
INVERTED: In one extreme, this person may decide not to marry, because the pull to universality
is simply too strong and demanding to ask someone else to share.
7 GOVERNED BY THE CHARIOT: PHYSICAL RESOURCES; MEANS TO ACHIEVE
UPRIGHT: You can find a needle in a haystack, and find energy when and where you need it, for you
can extract joy from the least likely of circumstances, pleasure from sources of pain. And you can
move mountains. INVERTED: If you are too active and keep too many irons in the fire, you run the
risk of not being where you need to be on occasion, or of being short on the energy you need to move
that mountain.
