of spiritual matters to the highest standards. Commencement/completion of a
spiritual path or project. This is spiritual independence, a true centering on the being
within. From here your karmic purposes can unfold gently and completely. This is
acceptance of initiateship, your vow to take a vow. Awakening/Rebirth. Highly intuitive.
Apparent good luck, as you achieve major goals with ease. This can also show the
opening and development of the Third Eye. Here is the staff of the shepherd, the
golden thread linking the crown chakra with the clouds, the magician’s wand for
facilitating as above so below, the antenna for receiving God’s messages of your lessons
to be learned. INVERTED: All of the above may be true, but to a lesser extent.
You may be on the verge of a spiritual breakthrough, but there is a block of some sort.
You may very much be a medium through which a great deal is being accomplished. This wand/channel
between you and the firmament may be too efficient and thereby picking up more than is appropriate. Or
it may be inefficient and not picking up all that is meant for you. For these inefficiencies to be taking
place, there will be obvious difficulties at the lower levels bringing this about, for you are meant to be
fully efficient and receive everything you need to know to be completely successful on your path.
Two of Pentacles
UPRIGHT: Here is the entrance of “other” at the physical level. The dual
aspect of the number two in the Physical/material Plane of the Pentacles gives us
first—the recognition of choice, of alternatives, then second the action in relation
to that choice. The search here is for means of growth in terms of physical health
and security, work advancement, financial reliability. Evaluation is in terms of
physical skills and prowess and contribution to well-being. Sizing up, enjoying the
competition, be it business or sports. Probing. Detection. Extroverted, touchoriented.
Hands-on. Active/decisive. Tests of strength, reliability. Ambition. This
is the stirring of responsibility in the hunter to provide for the tribe. Good neighbor.
Business. Material negotiations. Joining. Here even may be the physical aspects
of the sex act without the emotional, mental, or spiritual components.
Gentlemanly, ladylike. Dexterity, Agility. Flexibility. Physically active. INVERTED: Difficulties with
physical choices or competitive situations. Enjoining the battle, as opposed to seeking a solution.
Confrontation replaces competition. Your winning requires someone else lose, or vice versa. Physical
impotence, a lack of means, of choice in the matter. Too good a neighbor on one extreme, or not at all
a good neighbor on the other. Intrusive, nosy. Rude. Clumsy. Physically less active, indecisive.

aspect of the number two in the emotional plane of the Cups gives us first the
recognition of choice, of alternatives, then it gives the action in relation to that
choice. So it is we see Sex, Passion, Love, Proposals but also Engagement, Marriage,
and Partnership. Harmony of opposites. One-to-one relationships. Reconciliation.
Cooperation. The willingness, the ability, to experience give and take.
Consideration of extensions of the self. In the creative process, here is the recognition
of the talent as an aspect of the self, yet something bigger than the self as
well, from which a relationship will develop just as one person with another.
INVERTED: Difficulty with either recognition of an emotional choice, or with
identifying and partnering with that choice to make a fertile relationship. At the
extreme there may be blockage preventing a beneficial merger, hindering a creative process, or slowing
the development of a talent. Divorce. Or the blockage of divorce in a relationship detracting from rather
than adding to your emotional energy and creative resources. Infertility, sexual or creative. Or there may
be an inappropriate forcing of a talent or relationship. Marriage of convenience. Bigamy.
