f. Part 7, Rule 707, 708, 709 and 710 <strong>of</strong> Utility Models and Industrial Design Regulations;<br />

and<br />

g. Part <strong>13</strong>, Rules <strong>13</strong>08, <strong>13</strong>09, <strong>13</strong>10 and <strong>13</strong>11 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rules and Regulations on Inventions.<br />

All o<strong>the</strong>r rules and regulations, <strong>of</strong>fice orders, memoranda, circulars and parts <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong><br />

inconsistent with <strong>the</strong>se Rules are also amended: Provided, That all cases on appeal to <strong>the</strong><br />

Director General filed prior to <strong>the</strong> effectivity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se Rules, shall continue to be governed by<br />

<strong>the</strong> Applicable Rules under which said appeals were filed.<br />

SECTION 12. Separability - If any provision in <strong>the</strong>se Rules or application <strong>of</strong> such<br />

provision to any circumstance is held invalid, <strong>the</strong> remainder <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se Rules shall not be<br />

affected <strong>the</strong>reby.<br />

SECTION <strong>13</strong>. Filing <strong>of</strong> Certified Copies - The authorized Records Officer <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> IPO is<br />

hereby directed to immediately file three (3) certified copies <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se Rules with <strong>the</strong> UP <strong>Law</strong><br />

Center, and one (1) certified copy each with <strong>the</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> President, <strong>the</strong> Senate <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Philippines</strong>, <strong>the</strong> House <strong>of</strong> Representatives, <strong>the</strong> Supreme Court <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Philippines</strong> and <strong>the</strong><br />

National Library.<br />

SECTION 14. Effectivity - These Rules shall take effect on 15 March 2002 after<br />

publication in <strong>the</strong> IPO website and in a newspaper <strong>of</strong> general circulation not later than 28<br />

February 2002.<br />

Amendment to <strong>the</strong> Rules: Section 8.3 P - Ordinary Appeal<br />

Please be informed that <strong>the</strong> PHILRACOM Board in its meeting held on January 11,<br />

2002, after due deliberation resolved to amend SECTION 8.3P <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Horseracing Rules and<br />

Regulations, which will now read as follows:<br />

ìSECTION 8.3P - ORDINARY APPEAL - The decisions, orders, or ruling <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Stewards shall be immediately executory. They shall become final unless<br />

an appeal is made to <strong>the</strong> Racing Club management, thru its Chief Executive or<br />

Operating Officer or Racing Manager, within three (3) working days from<br />

knowledge <strong>of</strong> such decisions, orders or rulings.
