A Resolution Adopting A New Rule of Procedure
for the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC)
WHEREAS, Section 16, Article II of the 1987 Constitution provides that ìall persons
shall have the right to speedy disposition of their cases before all judicial, quasi-judicial or
administrative bodiesî;
WHEREAS, Section 17, of Executive Order No. 12 dated April 16, 2001, provides that
this Commission ìshall promulgate or adopt its rules and regulations for the effective
implementation of this Executive Orderî;
WHEREAS, there is a need to adopt a new Rules of Procedure in order to speed up
the process in the investigation and hearing of cases filed before the Commission in order to
carry out its mandate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the
Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) adopt its own rules and regulations pursuant to
Executive Order No. 12.
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that three (3) copies of this Resolution and the New
Rules of Procedure of the PAGC be filed by the executive Director with the University of the
Philippines Law Center pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 3, Chapter 2, Book VII of the
Administrative Code of 1987.
