164 Using only the VS-700C Console (Standalone Mode) About the Driver You can connect the VS-700C console via its USB connector directly to your computer and use it as a control surface. If you are connecting the VS-700C console via its USB connector directly to your computer, you’ll need to install the dedicated VS-700C driver. The VS-700C driver and a Readme file explaining how to install it are located in the “Drivers/VS700C” folder of the “SONAR V-STUDIO 700 CD-ROM.” For details on installing the driver, refer to the Readme file. Settings on the VS-700C fig.dsw1.eps Limitations Set the SETTING DIP switches located on the rear panel of the VS-700C console as shown below, and then turn the VS-700C off, then on again. Normal setting Stand-alone mode • With the above setting, you won’t be able to connect the VS-700R I/O unit to the VS-700C. • The VS-700C console’s audio functionality (AUX IN, PHONES 1/2) will not work.
