Zonnebloem is a long-established leader in
South African winemaking with a history
dating back to the late 17th century and a
reputation for honouring tradition in the
way its wines are made. As in earlier days,
nothing is rushed at Zonnebloem and each
wine is allowed to take its time, from the
growing of the grapes to their vinification.
The finest fruit, all hand-picked, is sourced
from over 330 individual vineyard blocks
to produce generous-bodied flavours rich
in varietal expression.

Made from grapes sourced from bush vines
growing on the cool slopes of the Perdeberg,
this wine is clear and bright in colour with
a green tint. It offers ample asparagus and
passion fruit aromas on the nose with a touch
of dustiness. Complex and full-bodied on the
palate with a creamy texture and an explosion
of green pepper and pineapple flavours.

The grapes for this wine come from vineyards
in Stellenbosch Kloof, Helderberg and Devon
Valley. Ruby red in colour, the wine shows
attractive flavours of ripe berries and plums
