Kaapzicht Estate has an ideal combination
of terroir and meso climate: it is situated on
the north-western slopes of the Bottelary
Hills, in view of Cape Town and Table
Mountain, combining weathered granite
soils, warm slopes and cool, direct ocean
breezes. Being full-bodied, fruity wines
with great structure and length, Kaapzicht
wines reflect this terroir as well as the
passion of the Steytler family, who have
owned and run this estate for 60 years.

promising excellent maturation potential.
Seamlessly woven layers of dark fruit, oak
aromatics and sweet spice entice thoughts of
seductive Arabian nights. Massively structured
with plush velvet texture and an almost
endless finish. Achieves elegance despite
blockbuster proportions.
Kanonkop
Kanonkop Estate, a fourth generation
winery, is situated on the western slopes
of Simonsberg in the Stellenbosch region.
Today, ownership rests in the capable hands
of brothers Johann and Paul Krige. It is their
expressed vision to position Kanonkop as
a South African ‘First Growth’ – a vision
shared by cellarmaster Abrie Beeslaar who,
in 2008, received the Wolff Blass Trophy
for International Winemaker of the year
in London.
