A plush, velvety red colour leads into notes
of dense cassis, rich concentrated blackberry,
with hints of mint chocolate, cinnamon and
pencil shavings. Concentrated mouth-filling
flavours of red and blackberry fruits, interlaced
with creamy dark chocolate and a long,
lingering finish.

Edelkeur is Nederburg’s signature dessert
wine and the raison d’être for the auction.
This wine is produced from a single block of
botrytised Chenin Blanc. Made by Nederburg’s
legendary cellarmaster Günter Brözel, this
amber-coloured wine is an exquisite example
of its type, displaying aromas of fruit, burnt
wood, coffee bean and smoke with smooth,
rich and concentrated characters and excellent
limpidity, colour and persistence. Still very
vibrant, it is smooth and rich and concentrated
with a perfect balance between fruit and sugar.
