first brand to market Pinotage wine on a<br />
commercial scale worldwide with its 1959<br />
Pinotage, the opening and closing items at<br />
the Nederburg Auction were traditionally<br />
Lanzerac Pinotages. Founded in 1692, the<br />
estate remains an award-winning cellar,<br />
and since 1958, a five-star, award-winning<br />
country hotel. With a long, proud history<br />

L’Avenir<br />
L’Avenir is situated on the foothills of the<br />
Simonsberg Mountain. Its wines have a<br />
reputation for their elegant structure,<br />
while showing accessibility from youth<br />
throughout their maturation. They have<br />
won numerous awards and accolades.<br />
Grapes are grown, hand-picked and<br />
vinified, and the wines matured, bottled<br />
and labelled on the farm itself. Aged<br />
in specially chosen French oak barrels,<br />
stored in a cool underground maturation<br />
cellar, the wines integrate delicate flavour<br />
nuances with complexity.<br />
