The property page of a metadata set allows only editing of the name of the set. This name is the same as the folder name for the set on the disk. If modified in the properties, the folder name is also updated on the disk. Preview Sizes The preview pages in FotoWeb templates use the preview settings of the site to set the size of the preview displayed to the client. This preview size can sometimes be insufficient when comparing two images, or looking for some details or for drag n’ drop operations. FotoWeb now comes with a feature called ‘Preview Size List’ that allows viewing an image in different sizes. The archives can enable usage of this feature by selecting one of the preview size lists. Then along with the ‘PreviewSizeListControl’ tag in the templates, the clients can switch the preview size of the images according to the sizes defined in the preview size list. The ‘Preview Sizes’ node displays list of all preview size lists available on the site. These preview size lists are linked to archives on the site. Since this is an optional feature, the archives can simply disable this feature. The preview size lists shipped with the installer are located in the ‘c:\ Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FotoWare\FotoWeb\Server Settings\Preview Size Lists’ folder under the FotoWeb installation folder, while the preview size lists for the site are located in the ‘Preview Size Lists’ folder under the site folder. The preview size lists have ‘psl’ extension. Create New Preview Size List To create a new preview size list, use ‘New’ from the context menu. Import Preview Size List To import an existing preview size list, use ‘All Tasks | Import’ from the context menu. 128 FotoWare
Preview Size List Properties A preview size list can define up to 9 different sizes. The order of the sizes defined in this window is reflected in the web interface. Display name The display name is the same as the file name of the preview size list. If modified in the properties, the file name is also updated on the disk.
