Fields that are synchronized The following is a list of the data that is copied from the Active Directory to FotoWeb: Users • Login name • Email address • Given name • Initial • Surname • Company name • Street Address • State name • Zip Code • Country name • Description • Home page address ( URL ) • Profession ( title ) • Telephone number • LDAP object name (X500) In addition, the user’s ‘locked out’ property is synchronized. SMTP FotoWeb will need to send emails to users from time to time. These emails can be password-resetting emails, system notification emails, shopping cart download emails, SMTP workflow emails, contact sheet emails etc. It is possible to not define an SMTP server, but if specified, the server must be valid. If you choose not to define an SMTP server, FotoWeb Mail Service will be disabled for all sites and no emails will be sent from the server at all. Hence, if your server hosts several sites, all sites must have a valid SMTP setup even if some of the sites are not meant to use email delivery. Keep in mind that a user will not receive any feedback on failed email requests. SMTP settings This section requires a valid SMTP server name and other email related settings. If the SMTRP server requires authentication, fill in the user name and password fields. Otherwise they should be left blank. Default Email Sender Define default email sender for the emails sent by FotoWeb. If ‘Site’ is selected, then the ‘sender email address’ defined in SMTP settings is used. If the ‘Logged on user’ is selected, then the sender email address is the email address of the user that is generating the email. This option can be expanded by adding an additional text to ‘From’ field in the email. Use this option to create a unique identity of emails sent form the system.
