Upload FotoWeb allows upload of files to the server. This option can be turned off if not desired. The upload feature has two levels – the first level is defined on the Site level while the second one is defined on the User level. Albums FotoWeb allows users to create and maintain albums of the documents published on your site. These albums are stored in the SQL database configured for the site. Optionally, users can also share albums with other users and send contact sheets via email. The various settings for albums are explained below. Album Collaboration options These options control the system wide permissions for sharing albums with other users. In addition, these settings can be controlled individually on the users. You must first enable the options in the system settings before the settings on the users take effect. Allow album sharing This option enables or disables album sharing in general. All sharing options will be disabled when this option is turned off. Allow sharing to individual users If this option is enabled, users will be able to see other registered users and share their albums with them. If the option is disabled, users will only see and be able to share their albums with the groups on the system. Show email addresses in user list If this option is enabled, the user lists will display the users’ email addresses. You may want to disable this option to stop users from sending unwanted emails to other users on your system. Allow sending email invitations This option controls whether users can send invitations to their albums via email. These invitations can be sent to anyone, both users that are registered in FotoWeb and others. Anyone receiving an invitation will be able to see the thumbnails of the documents in the album, but will not be able to do anything else with them unless they are logged into FotoWeb with a valid account.
