If the first three files do not exist in site’s configuration folder, then they can be copied from the Index Manager folder. FotoWeb automatically creates the last file. The first two files define what words and letters are to be ignored in search strings. The ‘Thesaur. dat’ file contains synonym list of words that are often used for searching on the site. The last file ‘HighlightColors.dat’ contains color-coding information for highlighting and can be modified to adjust the colors. Please note that these files are not updated dynamically, but must be modified manually both for Index Manager and FotoWeb. To use hit highlighting, it must be enabled both in the FAC and in FWX templates. Hit highlighting is enabled in FWX templates through ‘InsertVariable’ and ‘ImageText’ commands by setting the ‘highlightSearch’ attribute to ‘Yes’. For example: 9 9 To get an overview of colors and synonyms used for search words, FotoWeb can create an HTML table that displays all this information. This table is created through the ‘SearchHighlightTable’ command. Remove HTML comments from FotoWeb scripts before processing If enabled, this option removes all HTML comments from the script templates. If you use HTML comments to document your templates, you may want to enable this option so that users can’t see these through the View Source function in their web browsers. Show correct file count for auto search filtered archives When a search is performed on an archive that is already auto search filtered, then file count will vary from search to search. To fix this problem, a pure search is to be made to the auto search filtered archive in addition to the search specified by the user. This additional search, however, would affect the processing time only the first time. After that Index Manager will cache those results so the additional pure searches are actually not performed. Enable persistent logon (‘Remember me’ functionality) Displays a checkbox at the log-in page. This allows the user’s browser to store the login information for up to 30 days before requiring a new authentication, or until the user actually logs out from FotoWeb. Enable single sign-on Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to transparently log in to FotoWeb when running with Internet Explorer in a Windows Network. Please see ‘Single Sign-On’ for more details. Show thumbnail list in file action dialogs If enabled, a list with thumbnails of selected files in displayed in the file action dialogs such as copy, move, rename etc. Show thumbnail list in text editor If enabled, a list with thumbnails of selected files in displayed in the text editor. FotoWeb uses text editors designed in FotoStation. Since some editors already contain a preview of the file being edited, it becomes redundant to display an additional thumbnail list. It can also be handy to disable the thumbnail list to give more space to the text editor in the browser. Enable ‘About’ menu option If enabled, then ‘About’ menu option is visible in the in ‘Tools’ menu. Hide detailed error descriptions for non-administrative users. User ASP.NET workflow module Allow usage of ASP.NET workflow module with FotoWeb 6.0 templates. For FotoWeb 2.7 templates, the custom condition ‘useFwxWorkflow’ in ‘SystemSetup.inc’ must be coherent with this option. Enable ASP processing You can choose to enable ASP processing on your site. This allows processing of ASP scripts in your page after FotoWeb has processed its own tags. Enabling ASP processing is a powerful feature that comes with some limitations. Please see FotoWare knowledge base article Q10172 for more details. Advanced This page allows configuration of some advance settings. Windows Networking Authentication Enter the name of the domain that you want to use to check the password of users with the OS Authentication method enabled. FotoWeb supports only one domain. Integration Authentication Key Used with ‘GetShoppingCart.fwx’ command request. This is a special command request designed to work with third party applications to retrieve a user’s shopping cart in XML format. This command request requires user’s session id and this integration authentication key to process the request. See document ‘FotoWeb Developers Guide’ for more details on this command request. Http Cache Instructions The default option, Allow per-user caching, instructs browsers and proxy servers to only cache pages from FotoWeb for a single user. They are not allowed to share the cached information with other users. If you want to ensure that no information sent from FotoWeb is stored in browsers or proxy servers, select Disallow all caching. This will instruct clients to throw away any information received from FotoWeb, and FotoWeb 6.0 Reference Manual 73
