4.11.5. Oil Products and Phenol Compounds<br />

Oil pollution has been monitored by ecological inspections as well as by hydrometeorogical<br />

stations. Long term trends in oil pollution are presented at the Fig. 4.19. Elevated level of oil<br />

pollution in Kiliya Branch of the river Danube has in the most of cases the transboundary origin,<br />

including the impact from the river Prut. Concentration of oil products in the Danube water varies<br />

(see Table 4.6.):<br />
