Introduction<br />

Trianglamine-Zn(R) 2 complexes have been recently used as efficient catalytic systems for<br />

asymmetric hydrosilylation <strong>of</strong> ketimines (i.e., 28) and ketones. <strong>The</strong> products from the catalytic<br />

reaction were obtained in high enantiomeric excess. 24,25 Addition <strong>of</strong> silane or a protic solvent<br />

was essential to facilitate the cleavage <strong>of</strong> the Zn-N bonds. Proposed mechanism for the hydrosilylation<br />

reaction is shown in Figure 2.8. 24<br />
