Application Object <strong>Reference</strong> for Automating <strong>JMP</strong><br />

Platform Methods<br />

Histograms(HorizontalHistogram As Boolean, Flag as Boolean)<br />

Displays a Histogram in the scatterplot matrix. If the first parameter is True, a Horizontal Histogram is display,<br />

if False a Vertical one is displayed. The flag turns the Histogram on (True) or off (False).<br />

Scatterplot Matrix Object Methods<br />

These methods support the Scatterplot Matrix platform, not the ScatterPlot(Flag As Boolean) As<br />

ScatterPlotMatrix method of the Multivariate object.<br />

DensityEllipses(Flag as Boolean)<br />

Turn the ellipses on (True) or off (False)<br />

EllipseAlpha(Alpha as Double)<br />

Specify the ellipse alpha value, between 0.0 and 1.0.<br />

LaunchSpecifyMatrixFormat(scatterplotMatrixFormatconstants val)<br />

Specify the format of the scatterplot matrix (Lower Triangular, Square etc.) prior to calling the Launch method.<br />

Screening Object<br />

The Screening object provides a way to launch the Screening platform.<br />

Methods<br />

There are no methods specific to the Screening object.<br />

SpinPlot Object Methods<br />

The SpinPlot object provides a way to launch and manipulate a spinning plot. After the spin plot is created<br />

through a Launch, the Spin method must be called to animate the plot.<br />

Note:<br />

SpinPlot has been removed as of <strong>JMP</strong> 8. Code that was written to use SpinPlot will continue to work, but will<br />

invoke the Scatterplot 3D platform instead. All existing methods on the SpinPlot automation interface should<br />

continue to work.<br />

BiplotRays(Flag As Boolean)<br />

Toggles the biplot ray display option on (True) or off (False).<br />

PrincipalComponents()<br />

This option mirrors its non-automation counterpart, calculating principal components on the launch variables.<br />

RotatedComponents(Number As Integer)<br />

Computes Number rotated component scores.<br />
