<strong>Historic</strong> Significance: This building is significant because it. is one <strong>of</strong><br />

8 buildings in the survey which isc·lassified as "No Style" which<br />

demonstrates <strong>Juneau</strong>'s vernacular forms <strong>and</strong> because it demonstrates<br />

patterns <strong>of</strong> community development in <strong>Juneau</strong>, Alaska. Dr. Charles <strong>and</strong><br />

Crystal Snow Jenne purchased the home in the .: teen years <strong>and</strong> lived<br />

there all their lives. Dr. Jenne was a dentist <strong>and</strong> his wife, Crystal<br />

Snow Jenne, was from a prominent pioneer <strong>Juneau</strong> family <strong>of</strong> theatrical<br />

performers. She was <strong>Juneau</strong>'s postmaster, owner <strong>of</strong> the Forget-Me-Not<br />

Flower Shop, <strong>and</strong> later was elected to the Territorial •• Legislature.<br />
