Albanian School of Complementary Learning,
a reality in the 100th Anniversary of
Independence
Spoken Albanian language derives from the depth of
centuries, from Illyrian, Arbërisht, Albanian. It resisted all storms
slamming on it. Today it is one among the 5-6 most important
languages in Europe and among the 11 most important languages
in the world. The Albanian language is spoken in Albania,
Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and the Diaspora.
Albanian schools are also found in Zara, Romania, Bulgaria
and other countries.
Similarly, in the years 1920-1921, in Istanbul we had six open
Albanian schools and directed by Riza Drini. In the Albanian
school in Argentina teaching of the immigrant children and
adults continued up to the eve of World War II.
In Switzerland, develop the complementary
instruction develops in the regular classroom schedules
in some cantons. This is where, the canton makes
possible the financing of teachers, as a whole or partially.

Albanian Language learning is institutionalized also in
the Austrian schools. In Greece, Albanian language is taught
in rented premises, or at a local school, on Sundays, under the
auspices of various associations. Teachers work voluntarily, but
quite devoted to preserve the national and language identity.
In all countries, where there are open Albanian schools
with complementary learning, there are organized seminars
on different topics, for the benefit of teachers and teaching in
