The total area <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Shire</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kalamunda</strong>, and hence the pre-European extent <strong>of</strong><br />
endemic vegetation, is 32,354 ha (Landgate, 2008). Only 24,081 ha <strong>of</strong> this currently<br />
remain (PBP, 2007 unpublished data sets). A summary <strong>of</strong> the remaining endemic<br />
vegetation extent by administrative planning category is shown in Table 1. Endemic<br />
vegetation extent by vegetation complex in the <strong>Shire</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kalamunda</strong> is shown in<br />
Figure 1.<br />
