Transforming the US health care system, impacting global health care • St. George’s School of Medicine has contributed more doctors into the US health care system than two-thirds of the US medical schools. Scholarships providing access to a top medical education • Approximately 24 percent of each entering MD class awarded institutional scholarships. • A variety of scholarship awards available and based on academic excellence and/or need. • The Legacy of Excellence Scholarship is a partial-tuition scholarship awarded to entering students who demonstrate the commitment and dedication necessary to achieve academic excellence in a rigorous medical curriculum based on their academic history. Within the Legacy of Excellence, the prestigious Chancellor’s Circle is an onethird scholarship automatically awarded to accepted students who have earned an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.7, a 3.5 science GPA, and a 29 MCAT score. • The CityDoctors Scholarship Program awards full and half scholarships to students committed to working as a primary care attending physician at one of SGU’s participating CityDoctors hospitals. • Geoffrey H.
