Affiliation Agreement<br />
<strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> and T. A. Marryshow Community<br />
College (TAMCC) in Grenada have entered into a<br />
collaborative agreement to better serve the undergraduate<br />
student population at <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> and TAMCC.<br />
Incepted August 2001, students matriculating into the<br />
first or second year of <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> programs<br />
in business, life sciences, premedical sciences, and<br />
preveterinary medical sciences attend classes, many taught<br />
by SGU professors, on the TAMCC campus to fulfill some<br />
of their program requirements. Under this agreement,<br />
students have full access to a wide range of support<br />
services at TAMCC, as well as all of the student support<br />
services at SGU, including the Department of Educational<br />
Services, the Office of the Dean of <strong>St</strong>udents, counseling<br />
services, administrative services, residential life, computer<br />
labs, library, and sports facilities.<br />

Tung Wah College<br />
<strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> and Tung Wah College (TWC) in<br />
Hong Kong S.A.R., China, have signed a memorandum of<br />
understanding that opens the door for graduates of TWC’s<br />
Bachelor of Medical Science or Bachelor of Health Science<br />
programs to enter graduate programs at SGU. Furthermore,<br />
<strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> and TWC will work together to create<br />
a semester-based exchange program that will enhance<br />
students’ international learning experience.<br />
<strong>University</strong> of Guyana<br />
<strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong>, Grenada, and the <strong>University</strong> of<br />
Guyana, in recognition of each other as regional institutions<br />
with high academic standards, have entered into a partnership<br />
that encourages the sharing of graduate and postgraduate<br />
students, and staff between the two institutions. These<br />
academic exchanges take place within the context of the<br />
degree programs and research initiatives, and the universities<br />
collaborate in the development of programs that enhance the<br />
education and research initiatives in the region.<br />
<strong>University</strong> of the West<br />
of England<br />
Joint Premedical Sciences Program<br />
This challenging one year international Premedical Sciences<br />
Program has been co-developed by the <strong>University</strong> of the<br />
West of England (UWE) and <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> (SGU).<br />
Taught at UWE Bristol in the United Kingdom, it provides an<br />
exciting route for students with A-level science qualifications<br />
or the equivalent to gain the knowledge and entry<br />
qualification for subsequent progression onto the Doctor of<br />
Medicine (MD) Program at SGU in Grenada, West Indies.<br />
UWE Bristol is one of the UK’s largest and most popular<br />
universities with over 30,000 students and 3,500 staff.<br />
They have an excellent reputation for the quality of<br />
teaching and approvals from numerous external bodies<br />
including the Institute of Biomedical Science. <strong>St</strong>udents<br />
studying on this course will have access to all UWE’s<br />
professional and social facilities.<br />
This full-time program is delivered in the Department<br />
of Applied Sciences through eight compulsory modules<br />
covering aspects of human anatomy and physiology plus<br />
the biology, microbiology, and genetics that underpin an<br />
understanding of human health and which will prepare<br />
the student both academically and professionally to<br />
subsequently undertake a medical degree.<br />
Upon successful completion of the program students are<br />
awarded a UK Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE).<br />
Entry into <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> School of Medicine<br />
is conditional on a minimum overall mark of 65% in the<br />
UWE Premedical Sciences Cert HE and a satisfactory<br />
reference from UWE. Qualified students accepted into this<br />
competitive program can complete the degree of Doctor of<br />
Medicine (MD) after a total of five years of study.<br />
<strong>St</strong>udents initially apply to the <strong>University</strong> of the West of<br />
England for the Cert HE. Applicants who demonstrate<br />
they meet the academic criteria for the Joint Premedical<br />
