After successful completion of the seven-year program,<br />

Doctor of Medicine degree. The medical degree from <strong>St</strong>.<br />

George’s <strong>University</strong> has been approved by the Bermuda<br />

Combined BS/MD Program<br />

Caldwell College in Caldwell, New Jersey, has joined with<br />

<strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> offering students an opportunity<br />

to obtain a BS/MD degree. Qualified students are able<br />

to pursue a career in medicine at <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong><br />

following successful completion of the premedical program<br />

at Caldwell College.<br />

Enrolled students begin their studies at Caldwell College<br />

where they spend the first three years of the premedical<br />

program. Qualified students then proceed to Grenada to<br />

enter the first year of the <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> Doctor of<br />

Medicine program.<br />

Upon successful completion of their first year at <strong>St</strong>.<br />

George’s <strong>University</strong>, students fulfill the requirements for<br />

the Bachelor of Science in Biology from Caldwell College.<br />

Qualified students are then eligible to complete the three<br />

remaining yeas of study at <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> leading<br />

to the completion of the Doctor of Medicine degree.<br />

Caldwell College is a Catholic, co-educational, four-year<br />

liberal arts institution. Founded in 1939 by the Sisters of<br />

Saint Dominic, the College is accredited by the Middle<br />

<strong>St</strong>ates Association of Colleges and Universities, chartered<br />

by the <strong>St</strong>ate of New Jersey, and registered with the Regents<br />

of the <strong>University</strong> of the <strong>St</strong>ate of New York.<br />

Located on a 70-acre wooded campus in a quiet suburban<br />

community 20 miles from New York City, Caldwell<br />

provides a serene and secure environment conducive to<br />

study and learning.<br />

Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong><br />

Combined BS/MD Program<br />

Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong> in Rindge, New Hampshire, has<br />

joined with <strong>St</strong>. George’s <strong>University</strong> to offer students an<br />

opportunity to obtain a BS/MD degree. Qualified students<br />

are able to pursue a career in medicine at <strong>St</strong>. George’s<br />

<strong>University</strong> (SGU) following successful completion of the<br />

premedical program at Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Applicants admitted to this combined degree program<br />

are granted a pathway from their undergraduate degree<br />

in biology or health sciences to a Doctor of Medicine<br />

program. <strong>St</strong>udents admitted to the pathway program<br />

complete their undergraduate degree in Biology or Health<br />

Sciences at Franklin Pierce in four years, and upon meeting<br />

established admission criteria progress into the four-year<br />

Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at SGU.<br />

Franklin Pierce <strong>University</strong> is a regionally accredited<br />

university grounded in the liberal arts, with a focus on<br />

personal attention and high-quality instruction. The<br />

<strong>University</strong> consists of the College at Rindge and the<br />

College of Graduate & Professional <strong>St</strong>udies with locations<br />

in Arizona and throughout New Hampshire.<br />
