use in fermenting this beer. Some roasted chocolate flavors also come through from<br />

the dark malts in the mash. The name for this beer comes from a character (Dread<br />

Pirate Roberts) in the movie Princess Bride.<br />

Imperial Pilsener: ABV: 7.1%, OG: 18.1, IBU: 65. Think of Imperial Pilsener as a<br />

German Pilsener on steroids; more malt, more hops, more alcohol. We start with<br />

German grown Pilsener malt, add copious amounts of Czech Saaz <strong>and</strong> German Saphir<br />

hops <strong>and</strong> ferment it with a German lager yeast. The result is a malty hoppy light lager<br />

with an attitude.<br />

Mango Trail IPA: ABV: 6.5%, OG: 15.8, IBU: 88. We took our Superior Trail IPA <strong>and</strong><br />

put it into a cask for refermentation with fresh mangos. The mango flavors highlight<br />

some of the tropical fruit notes already present in the beer from the use of Citra <strong>and</strong><br />

El Dorado hops. Delicious!<br />

Grapefruit Starfire Pale Ale: ABV: 6.1%, OG: 14.0, IBU: 70. We start out<br />

with our flagship North Shore style pale ale, loaded with Amarillo <strong>and</strong> Cascade<br />

hops. Then we add fresh grapefruit <strong>and</strong> let it referment in the cask. The grapefruit<br />

flavors accentuate the grapefruit notes from the Amarillo <strong>and</strong> Cascade hops. Very<br />

refreshing, try one <strong>and</strong> see what you think.<br />

Flat 12 Bierwerks is a production craft brewery located in Indianapolis,<br />

Indiana. Established in January, 2011, Flat 12 offers six house beers, <strong>and</strong> a<br />

steady flow of original seasonal <strong>and</strong> specialty beers including Glazed Ham<br />

Porter, <strong>and</strong> seasonal variations of their Half Cycle IPA. The brewery staff at<br />

Flat 12 prides itself on creativity, <strong>and</strong> non-traditional takes on many of their<br />

specialty offerings. Many of these beers are made specifically for festivals<br />

where they get tasted for the first time by someone other than a brewery<br />

employee.<br />

The name Flat 12 is derived from the flathead 12-cylinder engine, a<br />

powerful beast of an engine, emblematic of Indianapolis’ turn of the<br />

century rise as an automotive manufacturing <strong>and</strong> motorsports capital. The<br />

“Bierwerks” Germanic spelling offers a nod to the strong German cultural<br />

influence, felt in <strong>and</strong> around the city at that same time.<br />

Half Cycle IPA: ABV: 6%, OG: 14P, IBU:104.1. Half Cycle is so named due to its<br />

marriage of American single <strong>and</strong> double IPA characteristics. A single <strong>and</strong> double is<br />

half of “the cycle” in baseball, thus the name. Half Cycle is a single IPA with a double<br />

IPA hop bill.<br />

Walkabout Pale Ale: ABV: 5.3%, OG:12.5P, IBU: 40. A single hop American-Style<br />

pale ale featuring Galaxy hops from Australia. Big passionfruit aroma <strong>and</strong> flavor, with<br />

a bitter finish.<br />

Hello My Name is Amber Ale: ABV: 5.8%, OG: 14P, IBU:42.7. Malty American<br />

Amber Ale with a hoppy finish.<br />

Pogue’s Run Porter: ABV: 5.5%, OG:14.8P, IBU:34.1. A Robust Porter brewed with<br />

English brown malt. Smooth <strong>and</strong> balanced with slight roast <strong>and</strong> chocolate notes.<br />

Kiwi Kiwi Hefe: ABV: 5.6%, OG: 13.5P, IBU: 21.6. A specialty beer, it’s a Hefeweissen<br />

with NZ hops <strong>and</strong> Kiwi juice. Featuring Pacific Gem hops from New Zeal<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong> dry<br />

hopped with a hint of American Citra <strong>and</strong> NZ Pacific Gem. Flavor notes of tart Kiwi,<br />

bananas, <strong>and</strong> citrus.<br />

Moustache Ride Red: ABV: 6%, OG:14, IBU: 42.7. Bourbon barrel aged specialty<br />

beer. Our amber ale aged in a bourbon barrel with real vanilla beans. Aroma is<br />

dominated by vanilla <strong>and</strong> hints of caramel. Flavor is like red cream soda, with a<br />

slight bourbon finish.<br />

El Diablo Blanco Roble: ABV: 5.1%, OG: 12P, IBU: 28.6. Barrel aged specialty beer<br />

featuring our Upside Down Blonde Ale. Aged in a twice used bourbon barrel, with red<br />

chiles added for a peppery finish.<br />

Bourbon Barrel Big Black Dog: ABV: 7.2%, OG: 17P, IBU: 68. A seasonal<br />

American Stout brewed with rye malt, <strong>and</strong> then aged in a 10 year Van Winkle barrel.<br />

Big <strong>and</strong> chewy with vanilla, coffee, <strong>and</strong> choclolate notes, <strong>and</strong> don’t forget the<br />

bourbon.<br />

Pinko Imperial Stout: ABV: 10.3, OG: 23.5P, IBU: 86.3. A seasonal Imperial Stout<br />

brewed with dark Belgian c<strong>and</strong>i sugar, brown sugar, <strong>and</strong> a generous amount of high<br />

alpha American hops. A Summer warmer.<br />
