IPA: ABV: 7.0%, 71 IBU Newly reformulated, our West Coast inspired India Pale Ale is<br />
rich in flavor <strong>and</strong> abundant in citrus, pine, <strong>and</strong> floral aromatics created through a<br />
wonderful infusion of Citra hops. Completely refreshing with a medium mouthfeel,<br />
crisp bitterness, <strong>and</strong> nearly balanced malt. Finishes dry with a head that creates<br />
excellent lacing.<br />
Infinite WIT: ABV: 4.5%, 9 IBU Wit A light-bodied Belgian Wit beer brewed with<br />
Organic Orange Peel <strong>and</strong> Organic Cori<strong>and</strong>er. Unfiltered, straw in color with an aroma<br />
that hints to the Orange / citrus character. Meant to be enjoyed alone or better yet<br />
with a light appetizer or interesting salad. Light <strong>and</strong> refreshingly crisp with a mild<br />
fruity/citrus character. Garnish with an Orange slice.<br />
Summertime Rye: ABV: 4.8%. Summertime Rye grew out of a fondness for both Rye<br />
<strong>and</strong> Citra Hops. A malt bill that includes malted barley, wheat, <strong>and</strong> rye creates an<br />
intresting, very refreshing <strong>and</strong> somewhat spicy interplay made very citrusy <strong>and</strong> crisp<br />
with the Citra hop. First introduced within the brewpub as an Ale Nation Member’s<br />
only experiment, a very quick sell out put this beer on a fast track to be one of our<br />
Seasonals. This release is only available once per year. Bright <strong>and</strong> straw to light<br />
golden in color, a mild bitterness gives substance to your Summer.<br />
SPECIAL RELEASEs<br />
2:00 P.M.— Barrel Aged Hop God: (Reserve Series). 10.1% A.B.V. 108 IBU<br />
An artful creation which began with our Hop God Belgian-Style IPA, enhanced by a<br />
6 month maturation in French Oak Chardonnay Barrels. This version of Hop God is a<br />
fascinating, big, bold Belgian-style Tripel hopped in very high amounts to concentrate<br />
citrus, grapefruit <strong>and</strong> floral aromatics in the nose. The addition of Chardonnay barrel<br />
aging adds further dimension <strong>and</strong> oak tannins to an already wonderfully complex Ale -<br />
bringing to mind tropical fruits <strong>and</strong> peach. We know of nothing that compares - enjoy!<br />
3:00 P.M.—Fathead: (Reserve Series) A.B.V: 11.3% 34 IBU A rich, full bodied<br />
Barley Wine with a wonderfully warming character from the malts & dark brown<br />
sugars. Held to the light, its burgundy color is fitting for a bigger beer that has<br />
aromatics that hint of the oak, the whiskey, the somewhat sweet nature, <strong>and</strong><br />
molasses that makes this beer truly unique. The non-barrel-aged version of this beer<br />
took Silver in the 2009 US Open Beer Championships. Using Stranahan’s Whiskey<br />
barrels, we aged this beer for 6 months to impart a small amount of oak tannins <strong>and</strong><br />
the whiskey character that combine to elevate this beer beyond its original entry<br />
into this world. Excellent to enjoy now <strong>and</strong> cellerable for years.<br />
4:00 P.M.—Melange A Trois (Reserve Series). 10.0% A.B.V. Our first beer in<br />
the Reserve Series, Melange A Trois begins with a wonderfully big Strong Belgian-<br />
Style Blonde Ale <strong>and</strong> moves into the extraordinary category through an additional 6<br />
month French Oak Chardonnay Wine Barrel maturation. The essense of Chardonnay<br />
permeates while a subtle sweetness remains from the Ale itself. Oak tannins combine<br />
to create a fascinating mesh of dry, sweet, <strong>and</strong> wine-like character. One of our<br />
favorites! Gold Medal Winner (Wood & Barrel Aged Strong Beer) 2011 Great American<br />

New Albania is a state of mind … but whose?<br />
A New Albanian is a resident of historic New Albany, Indiana (located in<br />
the Louisville metro area), where NABC has been conducting business in one<br />
form or another since 1987. Brewing began in 2002, <strong>and</strong> was exp<strong>and</strong>ed in<br />
2009 with the commencement of brewing, cooking, drinking <strong>and</strong> eating at<br />
NABC’s Bank Street Brewhouse in Bank Street in downtown New Albany.<br />
In terms of New Albanian brewing, the NABC state of mind is as individualistic,<br />
just like the people who drink our beers. We seldom identify<br />
our beers by orthodox beer style guidelines, which don’t always provide a<br />
substantive glimpse into the complex soul of the creative process. The best<br />
American craft beers, whether extreme, session strength or anywhere in<br />
between, are individualistic, exuberant, <strong>and</strong> artistic -- seductive libations<br />
that soothe palates <strong>and</strong> inspire minds to transcend the olfactory paralysis<br />
of bl<strong>and</strong>, megabrewed, corporate swill.<br />
In New Albania, beer is a way of life. It’s hoppy <strong>and</strong> interactive, malty<br />
<strong>and</strong> sustaining, sweet <strong>and</strong> loving, sour <strong>and</strong> perky, <strong>and</strong> always a delicious<br />
adventure in thinking <strong>and</strong> drinking. NABC embraces this ethos, skirting the<br />
perimeters, peering for loopholes, evading comm<strong>and</strong>ments, borrowing <strong>and</strong><br />
recalibrating as necessary.<br />
