the content of the error message displayed.<br />

This message is displayed<br />

at power-up when the Card<br />

Reader/Writer is not connected<br />

properly or when it is broken and<br />

unresponsive.<br />

This message is displayed when<br />

the conditions prompting an<br />

automatic Card Reader/Writer<br />

cleaning are met.<br />

This message is displayed during<br />

network setup while the other unit<br />

is being initialized.<br />

This message is displayed at<br />

power-up when, after attempting<br />

to do so, the Card Reader/Writer<br />

is unable to eject a card for some<br />

reason.<br />

This message is displayed at<br />

power-up when the shutter cannot<br />

be opened/closed properly.<br />

Verify that the Card Reader/Writer is<br />

connected properly and then restart the<br />

unit. (See Section 24).<br />

If broken, contact the company from<br />

whom the unit was purchased.<br />

Perform the Card Reader/Writer<br />

cleaning. (See 7-2.)<br />

This message disappears once<br />

initialization of the other network game<br />

unit is complete.<br />

Remove all cards from the Card<br />

Reader/Writer. (See 7-3.)<br />

Verify that there are no problems with<br />

the shutter and then restart the unit. If<br />

this error occurs several times, contact<br />

the company from whom the unit was<br />

purchased.<br />

The following messages are displayed when there are limits to the Card Reader/Writer<br />

Operation Mode. The messages are displayed in the upper right of the screen during<br />

advertisements. The message content is updated after the "SEGA LOGO" is displayed.<br />

If the message is not one displayed intentionally by the Operation Mode, perform the<br />

appropriate maintenance based on the content of the error message displayed.<br />

ERROR DISPLAY CAUSE COUNTERMEASURES<br />

The machine is currently unable<br />

to issue new cards. Please see a<br />

store attendant to have the machine<br />

restocked with cards.<br />

Cards may not be used at this time.<br />

The Card Reader/Writer Dispenser<br />

is empty (no cards).<br />

Cards may not be used due to<br />

the Store Closing setting being<br />

activated.<br />

Restock the Dispenser with cards. (See<br />

7-1.)<br />

If no cards are available, contact the<br />

company from whom the unit was<br />

purchased.<br />

If there is a mistake in the settings, use<br />

Test Mode to change the Store Closing<br />

setting. (See 10-3.)<br />

If the setting is correct, but not<br />

operating properly, check the internal<br />

clock settings on the game board<br />

(Refer to the Service Manual.)<br />
