Apr/May 2006 with MSRP of<br />

$1,800 under the Elite brand,<br />

Pioneer commented there<br />

might be another non-Elite<br />

player later. The $1,800 price<br />

was said to be consistent to<br />

other Elite products of which<br />

higher quality is expected<br />

(right).<br />

The player’s HDMI output that<br />

was then quoted to be version<br />

1.3 spec, but it was not<br />

released that way at launch. It<br />

was reported to also include<br />
