SIM2 announced the reduction in price of their
1080p DLP Home Theater with D80 Projector on
the Domino line.
According to the company “The D80 delivers much
of the core performance of the company’s singlechip
flagship HT3000, including true 1080p
resolution, full 10-bit processing, and SIM2's
proprietary Alpha Path light engine, all at an
under-$10,000 price point.”
The SIM2 D80 implements TI’s 0.95-inch 1080p DarkChip3 DMD chipset, features
a new seven-segment color wheel (RGBRGB + Neutral Density Filter), end-to-end
10-bit video processing, 160-watt high output lamp, >4,000:1 CR (Full ON/Full
OFF), 14" x 12-1/2", HDCP-compliant HDMI input, VGA, component, high-quality
internal deinterlacing/scaling engine, capable of 16:9, 4:3, and Letterbox formats,
three custom user settings for each input and additional aspect ratio adjustments,
rear-panel RS-232 port, dual 12V trigger outputs, Matte Black or Matte White cabinet
colors.
