720p sets) from $1000 in 2005 to $500 in 2006.

TTM 2Q06, HDMI inputs will be capable of accepting 1080p, LED light engine will
replace the conventional Ultra High Pressure (UHP) lamp and extend bulb life from
6,000 hours to 20,000 hours maintaining consistent brightness levels throughout the
life of the bulb, increase color gamut reproduction >100 percent of NTSC, turn-on
time shortened from 30 seconds for UHP to seven for LED. The 56” 1080p LED set
will be $1,000 higher than similar UHP models.
