International Conference on Conservation and Peaceful Use of the Korea DMZ
could be implemented by a rotating system where the focal points take the overall
coordination function in turns.
• use the world network of UNESCO biosphere reserves consisting presently of 9
biosphere reserves which have been designated beyond international boundaries, and yet
more which share provincial boundaries (UNESCO-MaB 2010), for the exchange of
experience and as models.
It can be concluded that transboundary processes take a lot of time and effort but will in
the long run be beneficial for both people and nature in the respective region.
