Analysis.—The dictaphone record <strong>of</strong> this song <strong>com</strong>prises the melody with its<br />
repeated portions as transcribed, followed by four reptitions <strong>of</strong> the repeated<br />
portion. In some <strong>of</strong> these repetitions there are slight changes, probably connected<br />
with the words, but the triple measure <strong>and</strong> those that follow are repeated<br />
without change. The intervals are somewhat uncertain <strong>and</strong> the song is classified<br />
as irregular in tonality. The rhythm is interesting <strong>and</strong> the song has an individuality<br />
that suggests both pleasure <strong>and</strong> activity.
