Analysis.—As in other songs <strong>of</strong> this group, the transcription shows a <strong>com</strong>plete<br />
rendition <strong>of</strong> the song. The first <strong>and</strong> second periods are repeated, then follows a<br />
partial repetition <strong>of</strong> the first period <strong>and</strong> the introduction <strong>of</strong> the third period which<br />
is more lively <strong>and</strong> ends with the usual repeated tones <strong>and</strong> ritard. The second<br />
measure opens with the same rhythm as the first, but changes to a different rhythm<br />
in the second measure. In the repetition <strong>of</strong> the first period there are two unimportant<br />
changes in tones. The most frequent interval is a minor third, although<br />
the song is major in tonality. There is a general character throughout the<br />
rhythm <strong>of</strong> the song, but there are few recurrent phrases.
