Track Mounting of Switch<br />

Installing a security switch on the track of overhead doors.<br />

Make sure door does not have a guard that extends around track on bottom of<br />

door.<br />

Choose side opposite rope pull or move rope pull to side opposite switch.<br />

Mount bracket 1940 on track with two self-tapping screws. Tighten evenly against<br />

track.<br />

Mount switch to bracket 1940.<br />

Mount bracket 1912. Mount magnet to bracket, allowing about 1/2" (1.27 cm) gap<br />

between switch and magnet. Observe polarity of switch and magnet. Switch and<br />

magnet labels must read in same direction.<br />

Test for clearance and operation.<br />

Loosen holding screws on 1940 bracket and apply RTV mounting compound to<br />

flat side of track. Tighten screws. Retest.<br />
