Manuscript Submission Procedure:<br />

Manuscripts should be written as underst<strong>and</strong>ably <strong>and</strong> concisely as possible with clarity <strong>and</strong><br />

meaningfulness. Submission <strong>of</strong> a manuscript to Tourism Today represents a certification on<br />

the part <strong>of</strong> the author(s) that it is an original work <strong>and</strong> has not been published elsewhere;<br />

manuscripts that are eventually published may not be reproduced for one year following<br />

publication in Tourism Today. Submit your paper, book reports <strong>and</strong> conference reports via<br />

e-mail to the Editor: Craig@cothm.ac.cy. Feedback regarding the submission will be returned<br />

to the author(s) within one or two months <strong>of</strong> the receipt <strong>of</strong> the manuscript. Submission <strong>of</strong> a<br />

manuscript will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work not being considered<br />

for publication elsewhere at the same time. Each author will receive three complimentary<br />

copies <strong>of</strong> the issue. Contributors can correct first pro<strong>of</strong>s, if time permits it.<br />

Manuscript Length<br />

Full papers should be between 2.500 <strong>and</strong> 4.000 words. Research notes or case studies should<br />

be up to 1,500 words. Commentaries should be up to 1,200 words. Book <strong>and</strong> conference<br />

reviews should be 1,000 words long. Full papers <strong>and</strong> research notes should have up to six<br />

key words to indicate to readers the topic <strong>of</strong> the paper.<br />

Manuscript style <strong>and</strong> preparation<br />

• All submissions (full papers, research notes, case studies, commentaries, <strong>and</strong> book or<br />

conference reviews) must have a title <strong>of</strong> no more than 14 words.<br />

• Manuscripts should be double-line spaced, <strong>and</strong> have at least a one-inch margin on all four<br />

sides. Pages should be numbered consecutively.<br />

• The use <strong>of</strong> footnotes within the text is discouraged <strong>–</strong> use endnotes instead. Endnotes should<br />

be kept to a minimum, be used to provide additional comments <strong>and</strong> discussion <strong>and</strong> should<br />

be numbered consecutively in the text <strong>and</strong> typed on a separate sheet <strong>of</strong> paper at the end<br />

<strong>of</strong> the article.<br />

• Quotations must be taken accurately from the original source. Alterations to the quotations<br />

must be noted. Quotation marks (“ ”) are to be used to denote direct quotes. Inverted<br />

commas (‘ ‘) should denote a quote within a quotation.<br />

• Include the name(s) <strong>of</strong> any sponsor(s) <strong>of</strong> the research contained in the manuscript.<br />
