The William <strong>St</strong>okes Post-Graduate Centre provides support<br />
for a wide range of educational activities linked to <strong>St</strong>.<br />
James’s <strong>Hospital</strong>, Trinity College and the wider local medical<br />
community. The facilities include:<br />
Scheduled teaching opportunities:<br />
• Weekly Grand Rounds meeting: 8am each Friday<br />
• Weekly Medical Update meeting for SHOs: 1pm<br />
each Wednesday<br />
• Twice weekly Intern lectures: 1pm each Tuesday<br />
and Thursday<br />
• Weekly Endocrinology teaching<br />
• Weekly GP teaching: 1pm each Friday<br />
Regular teaching events:<br />
• <strong>Annual</strong> GP study day: 2nd Saturday in January each year<br />
• SpR study days in many specialities throughout the year<br />
• ACLS course: at regular intervals during the year<br />
• <strong>Annual</strong> Intern Induction course: June each year<br />
• <strong>Annual</strong> Intern Medal Award: for research conducted<br />
by Interns<br />
