• Construction continued on National Programme<br />
for Radiation Oncology (Phase 1) Building – with<br />
commissioning stage beginning in December <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

Cancer Control Programme<br />
• Critical Care Upgrade project completion with refurbishment<br />
of Intensive Care Unit general 9 bed unit and single isolation<br />
room. Funded through the hospital fundraising entity<br />
<strong>St</strong>. James <strong>Hospital</strong> Foundation<br />
• General ICU/CCU relatives waiting area. Funded through<br />
the hospital fundraising entity <strong>St</strong>. James <strong>Hospital</strong><br />
Foundation and from funds raised from Medical students<br />
and staff of the critical care speciality<br />
• Replacement and addition of new Magnetic Resonance<br />
Imaging equipment and associated clinical support areas,<br />
including renovation of diagnostic imaging patient waiting<br />
and staff rest areas. Funded through the hospital minor<br />
capital programme<br />
• Replacement of the Intervention Radiology equipment and<br />
supporting clinical space. Funded through the hospital<br />
minor capital programme<br />
• Outpatients’ facilities expanded with creation of four new<br />
Examination & Consultation rooms and sub waiting and<br />
patient toilet area<br />
• Expansion of Oncology patient treatment area to<br />
accommodate three additional bays including single room.<br />

• Upgrade continued of Clinical Information System for<br />
