Verifying Signal Acquisition with
GageScope ® for DOS
GageScope ® for DOS is a powerful software package which
allows acquisition and display of data from CompuScope
cards. For the purpose of this guide, we have only presented
some of the more basic feature sets and functionality of
GageScope ® for DOS; this is so that you may test to ensure
your CompuScope board(s) is fully functional. For more
detailed information on GageScope ® for DOS, please refer to
the GageScope ® for DOS: Technical Reference and User’s
Guide.
Setting up your Hardware
Connect a function (signal) generator to the BNC connector of
the Channel A input on your CompuScope board, as in the
following diagram:
Running GageScope ® for DOS
To start GageScope ® for DOS, make sure the C:\Gagescop
directory is current, and type the following command at the
DOS prompt:
GAGESCOP
You can then type in a user name of up to 40 characters at the
prompt, or simply press .
