Once the appropriate file(s) has been located on the Gage Driver Disk CD, Windows 98 will display the following window: The above window indicates that Windows 98 has recognized the PCI card as a CompuScope board and has located a compatible driver (in our case, a CompuScope 12100). Click Next. The installation process will continue until all the files are copied. You will then see the following window: Click Yes to restart your computer. If you have installed more than one CompuScope PCI Bus Board on your system, Windows 98 will display a window notifying you that it has found a new PCI Card (as soon as Windows 98 boots up again). A second window will appear indicating Windows 98 has recognized the new PCI Card as a CompuScope PCI Bus Board and is installing the appropriate software for it. Once installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart Windows. Note: Windows 98 will use the CompuScope Win 95/98 Drivers for PCI Bus Boards for all of the CompuScope PCI Bus boards that you have installed on your system. IMPORTANT NOTE: You should now proceed to the section entitled Verifying Driver Installation / Gage Config on page 73.
