Appendix B: CNA Online Survey Results<br />

1.0 INTRODUCTION<br />

An on-line survey targeting the students at the College <strong>of</strong> the North Atlantic (<strong>St</strong>. John’s campuses)<br />

was distributed via email on Monday April 12 th 2010. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the survey was to collect<br />

information on student transit ridership, travel patterns, and their attitudes and opinions about<br />

<strong>Metrobus</strong>. The survey was available until Monday June 21 st , 2010. Great cooperation was<br />

provided by Neil Moores at the College.<br />

A total <strong>of</strong> 49 completed surveys were collected, which accounts for about 2 percent <strong>of</strong> the total<br />

student population. The survey results are summarized below. Overall:<br />

94% <strong>of</strong> respondents were full time students;<br />

67% <strong>of</strong> respondents attend the Prince Phillip Drive Campus;<br />

33% <strong>of</strong> respondents attend the Ridge Road Campus; and<br />

86% <strong>of</strong> respondents were transit users (have used <strong>Metrobus</strong> in the past 3 months).<br />

<strong>St</strong>udents were asked about their familiarity with certain <strong>Metrobus</strong> characteristics. The results are<br />

summarized in the below chart.<br />
