About the course<br />
Environmental sustainability and related environmentallybased<br />
sectors are growing rapidly within the UK.<br />
The government has introduced relevant legislation<br />
and international agreements and protocols with an<br />
emphasis on reducing global warming, climate change,<br />
low carbon economy and the need for conservation.<br />
A need has been identified to educate and train learners<br />
for employment within environmental sustainability<br />
sector-based organisations or individuals within a wide<br />
range of other related organisations.<br />
You learn a variety of subjects relating to a career in<br />
environmental sustainability. Learners will undertake a<br />
combination of core and option modules.<br />

Principles of Sustainable Development, Sustainable<br />
Communities, Science for Environmental Technicians<br />

Entry Requirements<br />
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including<br />
Mathematics and/or English or equivalent, a Higher<br />
Diploma (which is equivalent to 7 GCSEs at Grades A* -<br />
C, NVQ2 or level 2 Diploma at merit grade with Maths<br />
and English at minimum Grade C or equivalent. In all<br />
cases, we interview you to assess your ability to benefit<br />
from the course.<br />
Future opportunities<br />
Students who achieve good grades could go on to study<br />
in Higher Education. Alternatively you could enter into<br />
the world of work within the Environmental sector.<br />
