August 1st 2011 marked two exciting<br />
developments for <strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>College</strong> as we<br />
merged with <strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>College</strong> of Music and the<br />
former Joseph Priestley <strong>College</strong>.<br />

opportunities and provision in the city -<br />
strengthening the city’s cultural arts provision, and<br />
bringing benefits to local learners, businesses and<br />
communities in South <strong>Leeds</strong>.<br />
Former Joseph Priestley <strong>College</strong> sites are<br />
now <strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>College</strong> centres, with the<br />
Peel Street location known as Joseph<br />
Priestley Campus.<br />
<strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>College</strong> of Music joins the <strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
group, in what is an unprecedented move for a<br />
Higher Education institute becoming a wholly owned<br />
subsidiary of a further education college.<br />
<strong>Leeds</strong> <strong>College</strong> of Music retains its name, distinctive<br />
brand and purpose built premises in the city’s<br />
Quarry Hill cultural quarter and continues to offer<br />
a broad range of specialist music courses in Higher<br />
and Further Education.<br />
