About the Course
Building services engineers normally work as part of a
design team alongside architects, structural engineers,
quantity surveyors and building managers to ensure the
engineering conditions create a safe, comfortable and
efficient internal environment as expected by clients.
The building services engineer is a professional person
who has the technical and design skills, plus the personal
skills required to work with other people throughout a
building project from inception to design to installation,
commissioning, inspection and testing.
The programme design and delivery reflects the balance
of skills, knowledge and understanding required to
perform building services engineering tasks competently.

You will develop academic skills such as scientific writing,
presenting, referencing and research; practical skills
such as rescuing marine mammals, identifying parasite

complete a research dissertation on an appropriate topic
of their choice.
