Proportional Motor
Controls for Motors
with Brushes
Jeti Controllers for Brush motors --
for flyers who hate reading operating manuals
Jeti brings you more control options but fewer directions for you to follow.
You can program each of these controllers to follow one of 4
operating conditions by simply changing the location of a little jumper
connector on the controller. The 4 operating conditions are:
1. Propeller Brake ON, Battery type NiCd or NiMh, Motor cut-off at 4
Volts (or 0.7V per cell)
2. Prop Brake OFF, Battery type NiCd or NiMh, gradual Motor cutoff
at 4 Volts (or 0.7V per cell)
3. Prop Brake ON, Battery type Li-polymer, gradual Motor cut-off at
minimum voltage 5.2V with 2 Li cells, and 9V with 3 Li cells
4. Prop Brake OFF, Battery type Li-polymer, gradual Motor cut-off at
minimum voltage 5.2V with 2 Li cells, and 9V with 3 Li cells
These controllers all have: high rate variable switching (1000-4000
Hz), with high output BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit: powers receiver
and servos from the big motor battery) that allows a lot of servos to
operate, user-programmable settings as listed above, automatic adjustment
of the throttle range, safe “power on” arming (keeps motor from
starting when not expected), “soft start up” to prevent propeller or gearbox
damage, automatic shut down when signal is lost, and limited maximum
braking action to prevent prop or gear damage. They also have
automatic current limiting that will allow the current to your motor to
exceed the normal level by about 5 Amps before cutting off.
For 4 to 8 Ni, 2 to 3 Li cells,
6 to 8 Amps
“Add-on” BEC
NEW! Reliable power to your receiver and servos
JE512 Jeti MAX BEC, 5.5-16V
Input, 5-6V 10A Output .... $49.99
MAX BEC is a linear regulator designed
to supply consistent power to the radio
system and servos in a model aircraft.
Either Nicad/NiMH or Lipoly/LiIon cells
supply input voltage, 2 Lithium cells are
recommended. MAX BEC includes a
charging connector, batteries can be
charged in place if desired. Output voltage of 5V or 6V can be chosen
by jumper connection. Two leads connect the BEC to your receiver
this provides redundancy and reduces the amp load on each connection.
The connectors can be plugged into any channel on your receiver.
The BEC includes a “safe” switch; in the event of mechanical damage
or switch failure the system fails in the ON position and has no
impact on the BEC operation.
For 4 to 8 Ni, 2 to 3 Li cells, 12 to 15
Amps
JES012 Jeti 12 Amp Microprocessor ...... $33.99
For 6-12 Ni, 2 to 4 Li cells,
30 to 35 Amps
JES030 Jeti 30 Amp Microprocessor .... $43.99
NEW! Safe power to your receiver and servos,
20A output, dual redundancy
JEM02 Jeti MAX BEC 2 ................................................ $99.99
MAX BEC is designed to power the
receiver and servos in the model. MAX
BEC is a linear voltage stabilizer with
an adjustable output voltage. The output
voltage is set using a jumper and
in one of four positions: 5.0V, 5.4V,
5.7V or 6.0V. MAX BEC can be powered
using NiXX and Li–XX cells. MAX
BEC also gives an indication of used
capacity of the battery with four LEDs.
Part of MAX BEC is an electronic switch, which uses a highly efficient
type of MOSFET transistor. The main benefits of the MAX BEC include
a high voltage rating (to 12 cells NiXX) and low current in the off state
(170 mA). The analog voltage stabilization does not contribute to radio
interference.
BEC for large electric models
ABB450 Atlas Switch Mode BEC, 8-42V
......................................................... $29.99
78
For 6 -12 Ni, 2 to 4 Li cells,
45 to 50 Amps
JES045 Jeti 45 Amp Microprocessor ...... $61.99
1.3”x1”x0.3”, 1 oz.
2-3/8" x 1" x 7/16", 23 grams. Input voltage
range from 8 to 42 volts will work with 3 to
10 cell lithium battery packs. Output is
4 amps continuous with a peak of 5 amps.
Output voltage is selectable for 5 or 6 volts
by a jumper plug. Power the receiver in your aircraft and up to 10 servos
from your flight batteries. Eliminates the extra weight of a separate
battery pack for your radio and servos. Use with any "Opto" controller or
a regular BEC equipped controller by disabling its BEC function.
