Install a tailwheel
on your RC plane!
RA1300 Complete Tailwheel Assembly ................................... $4.79
Includes 1” diameter wheel. For almost any size RC airplane. The
tempered wire is 1/16” which should give good support in models up to
about 6 pounds. Instructions show how to install this on any airplane.
Can be steerable, centering, or fixed.
Wheels
These are our lightest wheels. Here
are some weights for reference: 2” -
.42 oz, 3” - .89 oz., 4” - 2.06 oz.
each. Even though they are light
these are very durable and will support
heavy model airplanes. Made by Kavan in Germany. These have very
scale-like tread designs.
Kavan Extra Light Wheels, pairs:
HLFK1602 2” pair ............... $7.69
HLFK1612 2-1/4” pair ......... $7.89
Have air valve so you can change
pressure with an air pump. Chrome
plated hubs are two piece so you
can hide a wheel collar inside. These are VERY strong and will support heaviest
airplanes. But they are very light -- from 1.8 oz to 3.5 oz. each. 6mm axle
holes can be drilled to 1/4” or shimmed with 7/32” brass tubing (KSN130) to
3/16” axle.
HLFK258 Internal collars and Wheel Hubs, pair ................... $10.99
Lightweight plastic hubs with high quality chrome plating for scale
appearance. The wheel collars are 6mm dia. and can be drilled to fit any
larger axle.
These are not just
wheels — these are
REALS!
Reals have the most realistic
tires you’ve ever seen in a
model airplane wheel. The
amount of “squash” is realistic.
The “rubber” (it’s not, really,
it’s a vinyl compound) has realistic traction — they’re not shiny and slippery
plastic. The sizes through 3” are narrow and have lower air drag. They
are light weight (for reference to others: 2” - .5 oz.; 3”- 1.25 oz., 4”- 2.5 oz.
each). Here’s the kicker: They’re cheaper than other wheels! Compare the
prices!
painted scale type wheel for Slowflyers.
Ultra-light, incredibly
strong aircraft
wheels designed
for Electric Flight
Two conflicting needs for electric
flight wheels: they must be extremely lightweight, but they must also
be strong because the heavy batteries in electric
airplanes put great pressure on landing gear and
wheels. “LYT” wheels are made of an unusual
foam which is extremely light but which only compresses
ten percent under a ten pound load. We
know of no other lightweight wheels which can support
a heavy electric airplane yet withstand the
stress that a heavy airplane puts on them.
Axle hole diameter for 3/4”, 1-5/16” wheels is about 1.6mm (1/16”);
Axle hole for 1-3/8” through 2-1/16” wheels is about 2.6mm (3/32”);
Axle hole for 2-3/8 through 2-7/8” wheels is about 3.6mm (1/8”)
collars. Drill a 5/16” hole in your aluminum
or (up to 1/4” thick) fiberglass landing gear
legs.
DUB246 Axle Shafts, 1/8” x 1-1/4” .......................................... $5.59
DUB247 Axle Shafts, 5/32” x 1-1/4” ........................................ $5.59
DUB248 Axle Shafts, 5/32” x 2” .............................................. $5.59
Strong tempered steel axle shafts. Use 1/8” wheel collars on DUB246
and 5/32” wheel collars on DUB247 and DUB248.
Electric Brake
HLFK263 Kavan Magnetic Brake ................... $59.99
About 1.5” diameter. Use a 9v transistor radio battery and a micro
switch that’s hit by “down” elevator servo movement. Braking is strong
-- a single brake on nose wheel gives good stopping. Two on main
wheels are even stronger. 6mm axle hole can be drilled to 1/4” or
shimmed with 7/32” brass tubing (KSN130) to 3/16” axle.
Complete float set including water rudder
SFM3881 ABS Floats for .40-
.60 Airplanes .................... $49.99
34-1/4" long x 4-3/4" wide x 4" tall,
22-14" wide when both floats are
assembled. Each ABS float
weighs about 11 oz. without hardware.
Works well with airplanes
from 8-11 pounds flying weight.
Complete with main and front gear
legs, spreader bars, mounting hardware, and reinforcements for mount
points. One float comes with the rudder mount pre-installed; the steering
arm and cable are included. Complete instructions with illustrations
are included. Floats come in gloss white and do not need to be painted.
Excellent water handling is provided by the V-hull design with extra
strakes for directional stability.
